TJPW Live MIYU YAMASHITA & MAKI ITOH VS. RIKA TATSUMI & MIU WATANABE

This will undoubtedly be the match of the night, and if things really align, it could be the match of the weekend.

Four major stars of the promotion, and the tag format will help keep Itoh on a more serious footing than her indie matches.

Rika and Miu form the team of ‘Daydream’ and are responsible for a long string of classic tag matches,

with Miu bringing the power moves and Rika acting as the ring general.

TJPW Live in Philly I’m incredibly hyped for this one.

MIZUKI & VERTVIXEN VS. MAX THE IMPALER & POM HARAJUKU

Since losing the title, Mizuki has floundered without a real direction.

On the plus side,  we’re almost contractually bound to see TJPW a Whirling Candy

here and Max and Pom’s intra-team interactions are always fun to watch TJPW.

Expect a mix of comedy antics, hard-hitting (from Max), TJPW Live and high-flying (from Mizuki).

TJPW Live in SUZUME & ARISU ENDO VS. NAO KAKUTA & ZARA ZAKHER

Suzume and Arisu Endo form the team of Daisy Monkey, and are TJPW’s young tigers, the new generation poised to take the reigns from the older guard. Tortured metaphors aside, I expect this to be a showcase for their nimble and fast-paced offense and a minor swan song for Nao Kakuta, who is retiring soon.

YUKI AINO & RAKU VS. YUKI KAMIFUKU & VIVAVAN

TJPW Live in Philly This feels a bit thrown together, and can I say that I’m looking forward to Yuki Kamifuku’s absolute banger of a theme tune more than anything?

SHOKO NAKAJIMA VS. RHIO

Shoko is one of TJPW’s absolute best wrestlers. She is quick as anything and a great technician, too. This is really all on Rhio to rise to the occasion. If she can, we have a sleeper match of the night contender.

HYPERMISAO VS. BILLIE STARKZ

TJPW Live in Philly I guess this is the match where the AEW-aligned wrestler is contractually forbidden from getting pinned,

so they pair her with Misao to do a wacky bullshit finish. Misao is TJPW’s bumbling superhero who is secretly a booking genius.

Expect weapons, nonsense, and perhaps even some sentimentality.
