Ibushi will challenge for Okada’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 14 night one on January 4. Amazing Red came out
of retirement to face Ospreay on night one of this year’s Super J-Cup.
Two title matches are also set for New Japan Showdown in San Jose. Lance Archer will defend the IWGP United States Heavyweight
Championship against David Finlay, while Revolution Pro Wrestling British Cruiserweight Champion El Phantasmo will defend his title against SHO.
The San Jose event will feature Jushin Thunder Liger’s final match in the United States. He’s teaming with Aaron Solow against Toru Yano & Colt Cabana.
The Globe Theatre is hosting New Japan Showdown in Los Angeles next Monday (November 11). Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI will face
Jay White, Chase Owens & Gedo in the main event.
The San Jose show will air live on New Japan World at 10 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday.
