Walt Harris will be fighting with a heavy heart on Saturday in the main event where he will be facing former UFC

heavyweight championship contender UFC Alistair Overeem in the Octagon. Harris, a rising star in the mixed martial arts world,

UFC hasn’t fought since his stepdaughter, Aniah Blanchard, was kidnapped and subsequently murdered in 2019.

The story of Blanchard’s disappearance captured the nation’s attention for weeks following a groundswell of support from the mma community

and public pleas for her return. Unfortunately, those calls were never answered and Blanchard’s body was later recovered by police.

Despite her death and the struggles that have come with it, Harris is determined to continue his fighting career

while dedicating every performance to his daughter’s memory UFC.

UFC is headlined by heavyweight clash as Alistair Overeem takes on Walt Harris in the five-round main event.

Also on the card, Carla Esparza will battle Michelle Waterson in a strawweight bout. The event will be held UFC
