    AEW Fyter Fest Night 2

Fyter Fest is back, and night one is already in the books. Jon Moxley retained the IWGP US Title, Christian Cage picked up a win over his long-time rival Matt Hardy, and Darby Allin put an exclamation point on the night by performing a Coffin Drop through a closed casket. A lot of action and the best news of all is AEW is only halfway done.

Fyter Fest Night Two will take place this coming Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

Since it is once again just a themed episode of Dynamite, it will start at the regularly scheduled time of 8 pm EST, run for two hours on TNT, and feature all of the matches below.

    AEW Fyter Fest Night 2

Britt Baker Vs. Nyla Rose For The AEW Women’s Championship

AEW continues to build up what has been a lackluster and sometimes ignored women’s division.

There is no better woman to lead that division than Britt Baker, and next week she will defend her title for the very first time against a former champion.

Nyla Rose who will prove to be quite the formidable first challenger.

It’s hard to imagine Baker losing her very first defense considering the hype AEW has put into her on the road to winning the title.

Baker to win this one and move on to a new challenger. Hopefully, someone who is yet to have held the gold.

    AEW Fyter Fest Night 2

Jon Moxley Vs. Lance Archer For The IWGP United States Championship

Moxley has been IWGP US Champion for so long that you might have forgotten who he beat to win the title. Someone who hasn’t forgotten is Lance Archer. The Murderhawk Monster was the last person to hold the title before Moxley, getting beaten by the champ so long ago that he hadn’t even signed for AEW yet.

Next week at Fyter Fest, Archer finally gets the chance to win it back. The second defense in two weeks for Moxley feels like this one will be where he finally loses it. If for no other reason, Archer really needs to win a big match someday if he is ever going to be taken seriously in AEW.

    AEW Fyter Fest Night 2

    Chris Jericho Vs. Shawn Spears

Chris Jericho is desperate to get his hands on MJF again. However, before he can do that, he will have to endure the Five Labours Of Jericho. Presumably five matches MJF is going to make Jericho battle through before he gets to him once again. The first of those matches will be against Shawn Spears on Fyter Fest night two.

There’s a catch, though. Since Spears is the Chair Man of AEW, he will be allowed to use a steel chair in the match next week. However, Le Champion will not. That won’t stop him from winning this match, of course. The angle will fall pretty flat if Jericho trips at the first hurdle and doesn’t get to face the other four labours.

    AEW Fyter Fest Night 2

    The Blade Vs. Orange Cassidy

Orange Cassidy competed against Jericho at last year’s Fyter Fest. The Blade might not have the name power of Le Champion, but at least Freshly Squeezed is on the card. Cassidy has fallen off the radar somewhat recently as he has been tied up with helping Kris Statlander battle The Bunny.

That rivalry has led him to a match of his own against The Blade. It seems like an obvious pick to go with Cassidy for this one, but this could be a stage for The Blade on which to shine. A loss for Cassidy isn’t going to hurt him here, although a win for a fan favorite in front of what will probably be a sold-out crowd also makes a lot of sense.

    AEW Fyter Fest Night 2

    Frankie Kazarian Vs. Doc Gallows

Impact’s Slammiversary seriously upped the level at which wrestlers are passing through the forbidden door. However, The Good Brothers were two of the first to do it. Despite that, Doc Gallows is yet to compete in singles action in AEW. That changes at Fyter Fest this week. Gallows will wrestle Frankie Kazarian, and he’ll probably win.

    AEW Fyter Fest Night 2

    Wheeler Yuta Vs. Darby Allin

AEW bosses appear to be pretty big on Wheeler Yuta right now. Yuta made his Dynamite debut last week, losing to Sammy Guevara. He will appear for the second time in two weeks tonight and has another high profile opponent, Darby Allin. It’ll probably be another loss for Yuta in this one, though.
