AEW’s “Fight for the Fallen” Donation Drive and T-shirt also to Benefit Safe Alliance’s Programs Supporting Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Survivors —

July 26, 2021 – Continuing its commitment to supporting local communities and charities, AEW announced that at the FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN event in Charlotte, N.C., this Wednesday, July 28, the company will be donating $100,000 to Safe Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope and healing for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.

Additionally, AEW will be donating a percentage of proceeds from the limited-edition FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN T-shirts to Safe Alliance as part of the initiative. In the spirit of FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN, which has raised money for the other organizations in past years, AEW also encourages fans to donate what they can to Safe Alliance at:

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

“Safe Alliance is thrilled to partner with All Elite Wrestling and their annual FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN event,” said Tenille Alexander-Banner, Safe Alliance Director of Corporate and Community Engagement.

“Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault survivors have to ‘fight’ each day to heal from the trauma and abuse they’ve endured.Without support from the community, our work would not be possible.

We appreciate AEW’s generous gift and thank them for providing hope to survivors in the greater Charlotte area.”

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

“Giving back to the community and helping make a difference in people’s lives is an ongoing goal for AEW, especially with our annual FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN event,” said Tony Khan, AEW CEO, GM and Head of Creative.

“We’re proud to share this donation with Safe Alliance, and through this initiative, we hope we can come together with fans to further Safe Alliance’s important mission.”

    About All Elite Wrestling

Founded by CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan, AEW is a new professional wrestling league headlined by Cody & Brandi Rhodes, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Chris Jericho, Sting, Hangman Page, MJF, Miro, Darby Allin, Hikaru Shida, Dr. Britt Baker and Jon Moxley.

For the first time in many years, AEW is offering an alternative to mainstream wrestling, with a roster of world-class talent that is injecting new spirit, freshness and energy into the industry.

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

The inaugural event under the AEW banner was the sold-out DOUBLE OR NOTHING PPV in Las Vegas in May 2019. AEW began airing its flagship show on TNT on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, from 8-10 p.m. ET.

The weekly show, AEWDYNAMITE, attracts the youngest wrestling audience on television.

AEW’s multi-platform content also includes AEW DARK and AEW DARK: ELEVATION, two weekly professional wrestling YouTube series, BEING THE ELITE, a weekly behind-the-scenes YouTube series,

and AEW UNRESTRICTED, a weekly podcast series. The new, hour-long show AEW RAMPAGE debuts Friday, Aug. 13, on TNT at 10 p.m. ET.

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

AEW will keep its run of special episodes of Dynamite going next week via the return of Fight For The Fallen.

An event that started life as a special between PPVs, much like Fyter Fest, that has gone on to become something slightly different.

This year’s Fight For The Fallen will take place on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Since it’s just an episode of Dynamite with a theme, its start time will be the usual 8 pm EST on TNT, or wherever you watch Dynamite around the world.

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

The Elite Vs Hangman Page And The Dark Order In An Elimination Tag Match

It feels like Kenny Omega versus Hangman Page has been on the cards for a while.

This match signals the beginning of the build to that match. A ten-person elimination tag match with a lot on the line.

If Page and The Dark Order win, they will get shots at Omega’s World Title and The Young Bucks’ Tag Team Championships.

Lose, and they will have to step back and leave The Elite alone. Dark Order to win this one,

but probably after most of them are eliminated and Page has to run through the rest of The Elite by himself.

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

Chris Jericho Vs. Nick Gage In A No Disqualification Match

If Chris Jericho wants to face MJF again, he will first have to fight his way through five labours. He made it past the first of those labours last week at Fyter Fest, defeating Shawn Spears.

MJF smugly introduced Nick Gage after the match, informing Jericho his next labour will be a no DQ match versus the deathmatch wrestler.

Jericho has to win this one so he can move into the next labour. As for what else happens in this match is anyone’s guess, including Tony Khan’s.

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

Lance Archer Vs. Hikuleo For The IWGP United States Championship

After 564 days with the title, Jon Moxley was finally dethroned as the IWGP United States Champion.

And by the man he beat for the title all that time ago, no less. Lance Archer is US Champion again, but his new reign might be short-lived.

New Japan star Hikuleo is waiting in the wings and will get his shot at Fight For The Fallen.

This feels like the perfect opportunity for AEW to finally put the US Title back on someone who is actually contracted to New Japan.

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

Christian Cage, Jungle Boy, And Luchasaurus Vs. HFO

Jungle Boy and Christian Cage’s friendship has blossomed ever since the former eliminated the latter from the Casino Battle Royale.

Even their enemies have aligned as Matt Hardy’s HFO, made up of Private Party and Angelico, wants to step up to Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus.

Hardy won’t be a part of this one, having his minions do his bidding for him, but Cage will be.

Team Jungle Boy will probably win this one, but it could also include a turn from Cage. It has to be coming at some point.

    AEW Fight For The Fallen

    Santana And Ortiz Vs. FTR

This match might not have any titles on the line or a wild stipulation, but that doesn’t mean it is going to be anything less than the rest of the bouts on the card. In fact, there’s a very real chance this could be the match of the night. The build to this one has been great, especially with Konnan and Tully Blanchard involved. The win could also go either way, and regardless of who picks it up, we hope this won’t be the last time this match happens in AEW.
